Message	mine was actually 4 total pieces. The round base that pivots, the bottom end that has the bolt through it attaching to the tranny fork, another small piece, then the top piece that screws down and holds it tight.... i didnt just try to install it all together. I had it totally installed when I found the problem. Not when it was half installed
